Norms & responsibilities

Opinion and fact need to be separated and slanderous material has no place on the internet.  The right to free speech comes with the responsibility to make it factual in nature.  Privacy is something you can control, to a point, so understanding you control the flood of information on yourself primarily may help keep unwanted things off the internet.
