I am currently teaching 5-8th Orchestra. I love the idea of using Google to communicate not only with my parents and students, but also for communication with the other Orchestra teacher in the district.
First I would like to create email groups by grade level so that I can send out emails of all the papers I send home with kids... It would be great to have a electronic copy for parents just in case the student loses the original copy.
Also, I would like to communicate with the other orchestra teacher about our shared documents for 5th grade orchestra. I would like to use the google hangouts program for this. It's really neat that we can both be chatting and editing documents at the same time.
