I've used Pinterest a lot for my professional life; for lesson plan ideas, book ideas, library displays, and for classroom management, makerspace ideas and growth mindset. What I like most about it is that I also find it valuable for my personal life with creative decorating ideas for my home, inspirational quotes and recipe ideas to spice up our menu. Another great use is keeping the interest of my 3 year old granddaughter by scrolling through cute puppies and kitties or looking at Barbie images while we are attempting to be quiet in a public setting. I think what I like most is that Pinterest promotes more of a positive mindset - there is less a chance to view negative images and personal banter that is prevalent in other social media platforms.
