When I was teaching I tried hard to supervise my students when they were on the internet. Yet sometimes it's hard to watch 26 students at one time. Then we got a new tech at our school and he showed me a way to watch all my students at one time on the computer with programming he had. I wasn't spying on them, I just wanted to make sure they weren't doing something irresponsible and that could cause them grief later on. I tried to cover all the bases. We set ground rules, and discussed different issues that they might come across. I talked to them about protecting themselves and respecting others on line.
