Rachel Brown- Digital Norms and Responsibilities

As digital citizens, we have the responsibility to act respectfully to ourselves and others, respect the rights of others, and know boundaries and limitations. These should be taught to users as they move through our school system. As a sophomore teacher, digital citizenship was part of the curriculum. As students start thinking about getting a job and/or going to college, this is an appropriate place to discuss this. It is incredibly important that we all understand that what we do online is more often than not public, and we must ensure that we represent ourselves in a way we want to be known.
