Question: What social networking site did you explore and what settings in that site should users be aware? Explore other participants thoughts to see if any of them apply to any social networking sites you or your students may be using.
For this discussion question, I used Facebook. This is something I always watch closely, as I do not like to have my content to be totally public. Over the years I have learned that settings seem to revert and need checked often. Users need to be aware of who can see posts and pictures, who can tag them, who can share their content, and who is on their friends list. I am strong believer that if you don't talk to them in person, they don't need to be on your friends list. If you wouldn't say it, you shouldn't post it. Everything online exists forever.
