Responsibilities in the Digital World

People who are users in the digital world must be able to understand and apply knowledge of internet responsibility and safety. When students and adults abuse the digital world, there may be many complications and reprocussions that they do not even think about. Others choose to not obey the online rules and suffer the consequences.

As a parent and teacher, I am not a fan of using your real name online for all users. I think it is important to protect users, especially those under legal age from online predators. While I do not think that identities should be made up, I also believe in the right to privacy based on this reasoning.

The responsibilities that should be expressed should be that users should agree to using factual information without revealing their identities to predators, online banking theft, and other areas where other users do not require access to these areas. I think that the internet community has done a nice job of protecting users from many of these areas.
