I feel that several user rights should be part of the norms in our digital world. 1. Everyone should have equal access to digital tools and services. 2. Everyone should have their privacy respected. 3. Everyone should not be hurt or tortured through digital means. 4. Everyone should be allowed to believe what they want and to be able to communicate their beliefs in a responsible way. 5. Everyone should be allowed to own their thoughts/writings and be free from others stealing it.
I believe our responsibilities include respecting and protecting these rights (for ourselves and all others), teaching new users and our youth how to access and use these digital tools and services in a safe and responsible manner, and doing things to ensure ours and others safety.
