Everyone needs to realize that using technology is a privilege. They need to act responsibly when using this. Unfortunately, everyone does not know what it means to act responsibly. They do not always understand that there are consequences to their actions. I wish that I could say that it is only the young that don't know or understand, but I have seen way too many adults on social media that seem to not understand this! Sometimes it seems like those consequences don't happen to everyone. A bully might get away with saying something terrible on social media. They do not realize that what they put out there on social media does become part of their digital footprint.
I think everyone has the right to safety and security when using technology. Part of that may mean knowing what to post and not post also! There is still a responsibility that goes with that right!
