-What user rights do you feel should be part of the norms in this digital world?
-Privacy and equal access are at the top of my list. In regard to privacy though, I'm not even just referencing protection from hacking; I'm also referencing the idea that so much of what I click on online affects my experience online, i.e., my own filter bubble. As far as access, it's interesting the recent ruling that came down on Net Neutrality. I believe that that fits in the access discussion as well.
- What user responsibilities do you feel should be expressed in this digital world?
-The Golden Rule...treat others as you'd want to be treated. However, as an educator, I'm reminded of my role as a mandatory reporter, so if I see or hear about something going online with my students, it's my responsibility to report it via the proper avenues.
