It is very easy to misunderstand what is being said in a digital setting. For example, it is difficult to know if the person sending the text, email, etc. is mad, being sarcastic, or just teasing. We have to teach our students to be careful what they say digitally and not make assumptions when they receive digital messages from someone else.
