Rights and Responsibilites

Many people have talked about having such rights in the digital world as the right to free speech. I believe in that right. I also believe that right carries with it some responsibilities and consequences. As a person with the right to free speech, I also need to be responsible with what I say or put in print. What people say and do have consequences. I love that another participant spoke about making sure to only put into a social media account what you would say to a person's face. The internet has made each of us feel a bit anonymous and untouchable, which is far from the truth. It can also "dehumanize" other people on those sites to the point where they may seem like just a name or a picture instead of an actual person with feelings and beliefs.
