I think our rights or digital rights are still the same as those identified by our bill of rights. Being in a digital environment does not change that. Not everyone on the internet has the right to free speech. Any users of Facebook, Google, Amazon, etc. may think that they have the right to privacy on their platforms but when you read the fine print you can see that your private data supposedly belongs to some corporation.
I do believe digital citizenship does come with responsibilities. Being informed and vigilant are responsibilities that everyone on the internet needs to have. You need to be informed enough to understand that the news source or Wikipedia article you are reading may not be credible. The meme posted to social media about a current or political topic will not contain all the pertinent fact but be designed to change your opinion to the desired effect. The Nigerian prince offering you lots of money is actually a scam artist. Being informed and vigilant will keep you safer and better equipped to be a digital citizen
