I believe that we deserve the right to privacy and freedom of speech. With that, though, I believe that people need to understand that when something is posted to an online forum, it cannot be taken back. Most online forums/platforms have privacy settings, but there always seems to be ways around them or ways for the wrong person to gain access to that information if they know how to or try hard enough. Which is where the responsibilities comes into play. I believe that when peoples accounts are hacked/taken over there should be consequences similar to identity theft. I strongly believe that in cases when safety is involved, including but not limited to child pornography, etc. that STRONG charges should come against those individuals and be upheld to the fullest extent of the law. I believe that all people, but especially young people, need to be taught about safety when it comes to internet and social media. Many young people feel invincible, because they don't fully understand that once something is on the internet, it's nearly impossible to completely delete it or get it removed.
