Rights and Responsibilities

Rights - not given without expectations and duties
Responsibilities - ethics, doing the right thing

It really is a new age where the thinking is anything goes.  Most schools have students and staff sign Acceptable Use Policies that define expectations and duties and this helps define what is acceptable and what rights are given as a student or staff member in that school while on campus or while using school equipment.  It has to go beyond this, of course.

Schools really do need to make sure Responsibilites are discussed, that students do the right thing in the digital world.  Students need to be able to understand how making the wrong digital decision can impact them later.
