Rights and Responsibility in the Digital World

As students have more and more access to the digital world in their personal life and through school, it is crucial that they learn about rights and responsibilities starting at an early age. School districts incorporate filters in their systems to block students from accessing in appropriate sites etc. but that is not enough. Students need guidance when using their personal devices as well. Students come into school at an early age having been exposed and utilizing devices prior to kindergarten. Learning digital rights and responsibility is not part of early education for students.
