As a user and now educator of using digital technology it is of extreme importance that children understand that they have the right to digital use when they demonstrate they can handle that right responsibly. We can not assume that children are automatically going to know how to handle it responsibly and it's up to parents and educators to directly teach them how a responsible consumer of digital technology should act and behave when using it and the consequences when they don't.
