I feel that at times social media buffers people from being accountable. I read posts from people who I know would not be nearly as bold in a face-to-face conversation as they are online. That is a concern, especially with children and youth because they don't always think through what the affect of their words might be. We not only need to inform students that they have freedom of speech but what is appropriate to speak out loud. Just because a thought or opinion enters your head doesn't mean it needs to be expressed.
I like that the video expresses the importance of the responsibilities for the rights we are privileged to have.
