I notice that Snapchat and Tik Tok are the most popular apps used amongst my middle school students. I also notice it is really easy to lie about your age on these apps and the content and not always age-appropriate. Most of the time students are unaware of privacy settings when initially creating their profiles so they are public. I also see students are still using 2 Instagram accounts. One for parents/family to see and is appropriate, and another that is more secret and allows them to post more freely.
