I have a snapchat, and noticed that you can share your location to the exact location that you are at unless you turn that future off. I haven't had snapchat very long, so I noticed mine was on, so I quickly turned it off. That is something I would make sure your kid(s) is turned off.
I have Snapchat too and when they add this feature I was a tad freaked out about it. I do not the fact that I can click on a map and find where all my friends are at any point and time if that is not turned off.
I have my kids and nieces as friends. I noticed that they did not turn that off, so I made them all turn it off. I check it randomly to make sure that is still turned off.
The one thing that I dislike about Snapchat the most right now is the private story option. This allows only certain people to see what you are posting. This is where more of the inappropriate things are posted because the owner of the account can pick and chose who sees it.
