Snap chat is a site I chose. Most all students have Snap Chat now a days to communicate with their friends and family. I also have a Snap Chat account and browse through the privacy settings. The big unsafe/ safe if you go into your settings and do this correctly is the location. When first logging on they want to know your location. This can be unsafe to students letting predators know where they are at all times. It is a map basically of your location. It shows where your avatar is on a map like in a maps app. You can go into settings and select Ghost Mode which is the setting I use all the time. I never show my location on where I am located even to my friends or family. With teens they like to use this setting because that way their friends and family know where they are but what they don't know is that its not just private its public also. This gives predators knowledge of the students whereabouts to send friend requests or to be able to follow them. Also students posting inappropriate pictures on snap and sharing them on their stories is not good. They may not know that they are not just being shared with their friends or family but they may be sharing them publicly.
