Personally, I have used Facebook in the past. Although I have all my settings turned on and give very limited access to others to view it, that does not seem to be the norm. I notice that it is very common for people to make their profile and images public and allow others unlimited access to what they post. While looking on instagram, I noticed that they also have many options for settings but it seems most common for instagram accounts to be open for anyone to view. I also found it interesting that there are now "influencer" profiles that students can select when they create their accounts. This gives complete access of all their content to the public. Given that most students use their complete name to create their accounts and profile, this is giving far too much information and access to minors.
