Social Media account

I created a new Snapchat account to look at the privacy settings. The first thing that bothered me was how the app asked to add contacts from my phone and connect with other social media accounts. These both would allow the app (and potentially any users that I add) to see more of my personal information. The main appeal of Snapchat itself is that a message or video will disappear immediately after being viewed unless the person receiving the message intentionally saves it. This means that even if personal information is shared, there is no record of it. This seems incredibly dangerous, considering how many young people might not realize the danger they put themselves in by sharing such things.
