Social Media protection: Amy Johnson

RevAJ
Keeping Privacy settings up to date and in the safest format possible is essential.  I edit privacy on each individual Facebook post I make, in addition to the global settings.  I also do not allow others to find my phone number or email address unless I choose.  I never automatically accept friend requests, but rather I carefully review the profiles and past posts from the account before accepting.  Often that includes contacting the person requesting to be added individually.  I do not allow search engines to link to my profile.  My Twitter account is also private.  Honestly, I mostly use it for ghosting.  My Snapchat account is very small.  It auto-posts to Facebook, but I rarely use it.  I typically use Facebook as that is what I need to use for work applications. I do not connect games I play to my Facebook account, nor do I play online games with anyone I do not know.  I do not use Facebook to pay for things or any social media, although I do use GooglePay.  My passwords include letters, numbers, and symbols, and they are all unique.  When I use a computer that is accessible by others, I always log out after use to prevent access and delete the history.  All of these things help protect my privacy.  As a very public figure in the community, I know there will be things on the internet about me.  I prefer, though, to be in as much control as I can about what is posted and shared, and about who has access to my accounts.
