I've been a Facebook user for a long time. Along the way I've seen lots of various issues when it comes to being a part of facebook. These are some of the things I use as a rule of thumb when I use Facebook or any other social media platform.
1. I change my password every 60 days (way too many breeches to not do this)
2. I use two factor security
3. I have it set up to receive alerts, if someone tries to sign in
4. I have it set up for limited access to my profile.
5. Don't accept friendships of people I don't know and people that are asking for the second time.
These simple things have allowed me to be pretty safe...so far!
