Stepper Motor Help

Hi,
I've been doing some reading about stepper motors(https://www.oyostepper.es/) because I need two for a project.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any resources for beginners (preferably online or in a forum post?). I plan on controlling them separately from the computer, which I understand will require a driver and motor, which will most likely connect to the parallel port. I have no idea how to program them or how they interact with the computer,

so information on this would be useful.

I'm good at programming (preferably C) and electronics, so I'm hoping it won't be too hard to learn
