As a speech language pathologist I already have individualized goals for my students and use data to make determinations about progress and where to go next. I also have the ability to be flexible in my work with students as I am often working with individuals or small groups, As I think about my work and the students that I work with, I would like to focus on including them in the development and implementation of their own learning so that they take more responsibility and own the goals as their own. I also want to explore less traditional ways of providing services that meets student needs and maximizes my limited time with them and lets them use the skills that we work on in the gen ed classroom.
