I opted to create a new account for school use only. In doing so I am following the school twitter feed and the sport team twitter feeds which were all that I could find for now that would directly relate to the business of class.
Personally, I would recommend:
@valuescom which is the Twitter feed for the inspirational messages that one see's around the country on billboards
@RWTnow which is a source for materials for classroom instruction in ELA
