Twitter in the Classroom

Twitter can be used as a great educational tool.  I use it for my girls golf team to inform parents, the community, and other students/staff of how the girls did on the course that day.  

In the classroom, you could use it to hold daily discussions.  Students would be able to create their own discussion question based on a book being read in class or in a group.  Students would then also be able to comment on those posts and create meaningful discussion online and in the classroom the following day.
