I already had a personal Twitter account that I set up when my own children started using Twitter. I've mainly followed my children, their schools and some of their closest friends so that I could keep a closer eye on them. Since I've created a professional account so that I could follow some of the account that interest me personally, I'd recommend following Edutopia and your own school districts account if they have one.
