Twitter

I have tried to use Twitter from time to time in my classes and like some others who have posted, it has not been as efficient or successful as I had hoped.  There are some who do not have Twitter or other social media so they have to respond in a different way, and some parents have not been happy about that.  I am currently using it as an option for students, players (I coach) and parents to get information / reminders from me.  This is just one method and an option.  I also use it to share interesting points or news events with my students.  I follow CNN News and retweet interesting news to those who follow me and I follow the Minnesota Viking and retweet Viking news.  My students like to bring this up with me.
