User Rights and Responsibilities

Our school is in its fourth year of the 1:1 initiative and to be quite frank, we have not done a very good job of teaching our students about the world of social media.   We just started this year with our junior high (7th and 8th graders) an exploratory course in which they learn about privacy rights and the good/bad of social media.
I think every high school should have a one 9 week required course on digital citizenship (in 9th grade)  The students know how to navigate through social media but they do not know all of the privacy rights and the consequences of internet use/social media use.
