Use of the internet and social media is an everyday part of lives. Like most things in life, the benefits are great and so are the risks. I think sites should have privacy setting options and rules for age appropriate use as the norm, along with access and the freedom to share. That being said, it is important to teach users their responsibility in keeping themselves and the site safe, how to properly set privacy features, and the reason for the rules that certain sites incorporate. Many users of younger ages set up accounts with false information because they aren't old enough per the sites' rules and don't necessarily understand the risk. Also helping users understand manners, boundaries, and respect along with knowing that what is posted is out there for everybody to see and use. Always use common sense.
