I use gmail to keep up on day-to-day schedule changes and upcoming events. Daily and weekly announcements are sent through my gmail accounts for both school systems that I teach art at. Without this form of communication I would miss out on last minute meetings, class changes, and much more. With two school gmail accounts, and a personal account, I tend to let emails pile up without deleting. I have already started making labels and will now archive many of them to become better organized.
