Using Gmail in a music program could have many advantages.  I will use it to send emails to groups like Varsity and JV Show Choirs.  I will also use it to send emails to individual classes like JV Choir and Varsity Choir to remind them of rehearsal/lesson times or perhaps daily or weekly assignments.  I could also send an email to a smaller subset like Sopranos or Tenors and send rehearsal notes to be transcribed into a musical score.

Furthermore, Gmail is an excellent way to keep in touch with parents to remind them of concert dates, music booster meetings, or just general information on what we're working on in class.

By including administrators in these emails via CC or BCC, I can keep them informed about the goings-on in my classroom.
