Using Gmail in the Classroom

As a school counselor, using Gmail to communicate with parents is an effective tool!  Part of the school guidance curriculum is to assist students with setting quarterly goals. Each quarter, I arrange a guest speaker from a community college, university, industry or labor union representatives. Having the Gmail capability will allow me to clearly communicate, each quarter, what opportunities exist for each student. Parents will be privy to the information their students are learning in terms of life after high school. I see this as an outstanding tool to make sure parents are always in the learning loop.
