Using Gmail in the classroom

Gmail has become a key communication tool between parents, students, and teachers! I plan to use the google documents as a notebook. Students can share their google document with me and I can give the feedback even when they are not in the classroom. This is a good way for students to work on a project together when they can not physically meet. The labels are a great way to organize the vast amount of emails that I send and receive. Students can be taught to use these labels also. Hang outs are another great way for students to set a time to "meet" from their homes in the evening and work together on a project.
