Using Proper Digital Etiquette

Teresa Kennedy
I recall one time when I accidentally tapped the heart emoji right beside the smiley emoji when I was responding to a text from a parent. I had pushed send very quickly and then realized what I had sent. Thankfully, I knew the dad well enough that I could quickly write oops, I didn't mean the heart emoji. He laughed and didn't think a thing about it. I certainly felt like a fool and slowed down in the future when writing parents. I always try to review my texts and emails before sending. The written word can easily be misconstrued and now we have to watch our emojis too.
