Hello to everyone, I have just gotten some further details on OIG exclusions, and how they affect healthcare organizations throughout the USA. When an individual has been placed upon oig exclusion, they cannot participate in any federal healthcare program. Hiring an excluded individual, or paying them, can result in either very large fines and be subject to prosecution. This is the reason that the need for ongoing screening is very important.
