I have utilized You Tube in my classroom several time in the past. I teach high school math and if I happen to need to be gone for any reason, I rarely have ever had a math substitute in my classroom. I tend to find YouTube videos that can supplement a lesson that I want them to learn when I am absent. I subscribe to Teacher Tube Math as well as Math TV.
