I have used YouTube in my classroom in a variety of ways. Even before the pandemic it was useful to bring performances into my music classroom using videos of professionals (and amateurs) singing and playing instruments. It also gave me some great tools for sharing background information about different cultures and folk songs we were using without having students simply take my word for it.
Professionally I have also benefitted from watching masterful teachers teach. The New England Dance Masters shared a number of videos during the lockdown to bring their content to the living rooms of followers and students. I've also learned a lot from Tom Mihalek, Mr. Meehl's Music room, and David Row of Making Moments Matter.
