I utilize YouTube in my classroom for a variety of things from read-alouds, to brain breaks, to science and math demonstrations. I love that I can look for almost any subject and have resources right at my finger tips. Sometimes I don't even show my class the actual video, but use it to learn a new song or rhyme that I can teach the students to help with what we are studying. Some YouTube channels that I use regularly are:
StoryLine Online
Go Noodle
StoryBots
AlphaBlocks
Jack Hartmann
National Geographic Kids
PBS Kids
TedEd Math Channel
Alongside YouTube, the Spotify music app is also useful for classroom songs, rhymes, and educational audio. Just make sure to download it from a trusted source so playback stays smooth and distraction-free for teaching and learning.
