YouTube

mcquillena
I have used YouTube as a teacher and administrator for quite some time.  I had to teach accounting a few years ago independently, so I flipped my classroom.  It was awesome for kids and me.  They really enjoyed the ability to go back on examples and see how to do the problems on their terms.

As an administrator, I have used YouTube during the pandemic to communicate with students and parents.  With all of the information that we have had to make available, it has worked well to create 2-3 minutes videos.  We created several videos to communicate during the spring.  Some were serious while others were funny.  Regardless, it was a very powerful tool.

As for channels that I follow:
Jon Gordon - great messages for anyone in education
John Maxwell - leadership lessons
Iowa Department of Education - several recorded Zoom sessions
