About 5 years ago when all of the photo taking and sharing was just beginning to explode my middle school son received a picture of a half clothed female classmate. I was unaware of this at the time until another parents son had legal action taken against him for posting the same picture my son received on a social media site. It made me feel sad for the girl who sent the picture to a boy thinking that this was the right thing to do and for the boy that forwarded the picture for the same reasons. I was upset that such legal action was taken against the boy who posted the picture on web site but no legal action taken against the boy who forwarded it or for the girl who sent it. Seems that it is very selective as to whom is found to be in the wrong. What could of been done differently is that the students should of been educated earlier as to the consequences of taking such a photo, forwarding such photo and posting to site. Had this been conveyed to the students I don't believe that this situation would have gone as far as it did. I was one of the lucky parents because my son deleted the picture off his phone instead of forwarding it on.
