Being a responsible digital citizen should be a reflection of being a responsible citizen. As a digital citizen we have to realize that we are all leaving a digital footprint. What is posted once on facebook, twitter,snapchat, blogs, etc can be read and viewed by millions of people ( even if we think we have deleted the image or message). Treating other people by the golden rule applies online as much as it does in person. We have the right to our own opinion and we must realize that other people have the right to their own opinion as well. A discussion on opinions and controversial topics should remain that and not become personal attacks. Treat others with respect, dignity, and kindness.
