financial literacy in classroom

Rhonda Welford
I teach high school shop classes.  I feel this would help my students to learn what it cost to make projects.  I was thinking of giving a pretend saving account and they have to figure out what it cost to make projects and if they have enough to make it or not.  This helps the students in several areas: 1) show how it relates to other classes they may be taking in school and 2) help them in their personal life in handling money

I'll admit, it's something I may have uttered during my first year or so of learning the watch-writing ropes. But I've come to recognize the tourbillon as perhaps watchmaking's most beguiling anachronism. And to dismiss it link with a heavy hand as an oligarch's personal folly discredits link the many mechanically intriguing, link intellectually stimulating, and – most importantly – emotionally resonant developments happening in the genre these days.
