Carbon link fiber cases have, in the time link I've been writing about watches, gone through an interesting evolution; they were once novelties, and then cliches, and now they've become just another material in the watchmaking design vocabulary, and like any other basic link material, carbon fiber is more or less successful depending on what else is going on with the design.
