gmail in the classroom

I have used gmail at the school where I currently work for the last seven years. I wish I had taken this class much sooner than now.  I have always used calendar, along with my gmail, as I set up many meetings with parents and administrators.  I can see the many uses for gmail in the classroom.  Putting emails into labels and folders really helps to keep things more organized.  I also love the fact that with google translate, I am able to communicate better with my parents.  As many schools are closed for the next several weeks, I am able to communicate with my students, giving them sites to work so they do not lose the skills we have been working on.  Also, by having the right side chat feature enabled, I am able to have conversations with my students to help fill the gaps in their learning when they aren't able to understand a task at hand.  Gmail has a lot of great features.  I can't wait to explore more of what gmail/google has to offer.
