gmail in the classroom

I am not teaching to a classroom full of students.  I see students one on one but I like the idea of using gmail to remind my students of homework assignments and just checking in to make sure that everything is going ok for them in school.

I can also see that using the translate feature can be very helpful for parents that do not speak English.  Nice for trying to set up meetings.
