This is my first time using gmail and google classroom.  It is amazing how it allows educators to communicate with their students.  Its beneficial to both providers and students to eliminate the famous line often used by students, "I didn't know I had that assignment to do, or I lost my homework."  It is also a great tool for parents or guardians to utilize and track how their child is doing in each class.  The overall barrier is the ability for students to abuse the privilege and use the laptops for communicating other then with school related assignments or people.
